Meet the Curator
Debbie Saylor, Curator, strives to preserve the material collections and narratives of “Ancient Peoples” in various exhibits, displays, programs and events promoted by Indian Steps Museum.
She brings to the museum a diverse networking skill set and practical academic expertise with her background of Master and Bachelor of Science degree in biology, anthropology, sociology, medical laboratory science, plus a rich archaeology field experience with a specialization in prehistoric cultures.
Indian Steps Museum provides a home for Native American artifacts that were collected locally by the founder John Edward Vandersloot. It also serves as an educational center to preserve the culture and diversity of all indigenous peoples of the Americas.
